Naomi Klein: Interview with Occupy Vancouver
ON DEC 1, Naomi Klein joined “Occupy Condos: Take the Pantages!” to show support for affordable housing in the DTES.
After the march, members of Occupy Vancouver media team were able to sit down with Naomi and capture her thoughts on the Occupy Movement, the tar sands pipeline, and how to prepare for the largest economic shock yet.

Sounds like the fight against the Northern Gateway Pipeline in BC and expansion of Vancouver as “the fossil fuel gateway” of North America (12:40) is the biggest of this generation in BC.
Good point about Harper’s two-facedness saying we can’t reduce Canada’s carbon footprint on one hand until other countries like China comply with international agreements and then on the other hand saying that we must go full steam ahead with the Northern Gateway Pipleline because that is the new market for Canada’s tar sands.

Great Interview. Naomi does a brilliant job of correlating a lot of the issues at hand, and how Occupy has strengthened each individually and as a whole. Her message to BC and Vancouverites is one that needs to be shared and spread.
